LanguageTool Installing OpenOffice

Introduction

LanguageTool can be installed as an extension of OpenOffice. In this article we will see how simple steps. Prerequisites



LanguageTool To install, you need:

• OpenOffice.org 3.0 or higher and
• Java (JRE 5.0 or higher)

A quick way to ensure that the installation will be successful in Ubuntu derivatives is to have the package openoffice.org-java-common . In Windows suffice

to have the latest version of Java. Can be downloaded from the official website .

The current version (to 27/09/1910) is LanguageTool-1.1.oxt . This is the first that comes with a large number of rules for English.

Installation To install the extension, open OpenOffice.org or any of its applications so that we can access the menu Tools -> Extensions Manager :
